Mission
Build open source software that helps operators understand and run complex systems with confidence — practical tools that earn their place in production.
About
We focus on open source network management, observability, and AI-assisted engineering workflows. The goal is straightforward: build useful systems that stand up in production and stay understandable by the teams who run them.
Mission
Build open source software that helps operators understand and run complex systems with confidence — practical tools that earn their place in production.
Network Management
Systems for inventory, visibility, and operational control across modern network environments.
Observability
Telemetry pipelines and monitoring experiences that turn raw data into actionable operational context.
AI Solutions
Practical AI features and workflows that augment engineering teams instead of adding another layer of noise.
How We Work
We prefer simple architecture, strong operational visibility, and systems that teams can reason about under load. That means favoring clear boundaries, explicit interfaces, and production-ready defaults.
The website reflects the same philosophy: straightforward structure, clear navigation, and direct access to the work itself.
What Matters
#founders
Carver Automation was founded by engineers and operators who have spent their careers building the kinds of systems we now help other teams run.
Founder & CTO
Michael leads engineering at Carver Automation, with three decades of hands-on experience designing, building, and operating production software and infrastructure. His career spans network management, distributed systems, and developer tooling, and he has contributed to open source projects throughout.
Co-Founder & CEO
Marvin sets the direction and commercial strategy for Carver Automation. He combines a research-grounded background with practical operating experience, and focuses on translating technical capability into outcomes that matter to the customers and operators we work with.
